Bartolome Calleja Fernandez of Libon, Albay, Philippines, graduated from the University of the Philippines and was a member of Upsilon Sigma Phi. Bartolome was Audit Commissioner from 1969 to 1986. He penned several materials relevant to his profession, among them, “Statutory Construction for State Auditors” (published 1978) and “A Treatise on Government Contracts Under Philippine Law” (published 2003). From 1953 to 1986, he was also a law professor for various universities — Legazpi College, Francisco College, Lyceum of the Philippines, University of the East and University of the Philippines. In 1994, he was also a Bar Reviewer for political law.
He is the grand uncle of Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri.
